Samsung’s AI Fridge Wins Worst in Show at CES 2026 for Kitchen Ads

Samsung just turned your kitchen into an ad space and somehow thought that was an upgrade.
Their Bespoke AI Family Hub fridge earned the top spot on this year’s Worst in Show list at CES 2026. The reasons read like a checklist of everything consumers didn’t ask for: voice-controlled doors that can lock you out, a screen that plays ads while you’re reaching for milk, and constant internet requirements that make basic use feel like a chore.
Repair advocates and privacy groups pointed out the obvious. This is an appliance first. Adding complexity, ads, and data collection doesn’t make it smarter. It just makes it harder to fix and more expensive to run.
The irony is hard to miss. People are paying premium prices for something that now interrupts them in their own home.
